How matching works

How does Maahi work?

Last reviewed by the BiggDate team

Short answer

Maahi is BiggDate's AI relationship profiler. She runs a roughly 20-minute conversation in two parts — basic facts, then psychological depth with adaptive follow-ups — and derives your Soul Profile from your answers. After onboarding she stays available as an AI companion.

Maahi is the AI that conducts BiggDate's onboarding conversation and derives the Soul Profile that matching runs on. She is not a chatbot that talks to your matches — she is your profiler and, afterwards, your companion.

Part one is a set of quick-tap questions about basic facts: location, gender, who you want to meet, age range, intent (marriage, serious or exploring), what keeps you busy, and lifestyle.

Part two is nine deeper questions with up to five adaptive follow-ups when an answer is thin or emotionally rich. Topics include why you're dating now, your last meaningful relationship, conflict in the first ten minutes, how you know someone cares about you, how you show up when you love someone, work intensity, date-three dealbreakers, what you bring that's hard to find, and what a partner needs to understand about you.

From those answers, Maahi derives attachment style, conflict style, love language given and received, core values, dealbreakers and growth areas, and writes a Soul Snapshot summarising who you are emotionally.

Maahi runs on third-party AI models (currently Google Gemini, with OpenAI as an optional fallback) under their API terms; our Privacy Policy lists every processor. Maahi can suggest a Soul Knock question or help you think through a date, but you decide what to send.
