How matching works

What is a date debrief on BiggDate?

Last reviewed by the BiggDate team

Short answer

A date debrief is a short structured reflection after a date — chemistry, what surprised you, and your decision (continue, pause or end). It tunes future matches and, over time, shows you your own dating patterns.

After a date, BiggDate prompts a short reflection: what the chemistry was like, what surprised you, and whether you want to continue, pause or end. It takes a couple of minutes.

Debriefs do two jobs. Matching uses them to learn what genuinely lands for you. And your debrief history makes your own pattern visible — most people can't say why they keep choosing the same kind of person until they see it written down.

Debriefs are private. They are never shared with your date or any other member. Maahi can use them as context if you want to talk a date through.
