How matching works

How does BiggDate decide who to show me?

Last reviewed by the BiggDate team

Short answer

BiggDate compares your Soul Profile with other members' across attachment style, conflict pattern, love languages, values, dealbreakers, intent and lifestyle. Each daily match is picked for fit, not popularity, and comes with a written explanation of why.

BiggDate's matching runs on Soul Profiles, the structured psychological profiles Maahi derives during onboarding. Profiles are compared on several axes: how your attachment styles pair, conflict style and recovery, love language given and received, core values, dealbreakers on both sides, intent and lifestyle.

Matching does not rank people by popularity — there is no attractiveness score and no swipe-rate weighting. Two people the system thinks could resonate are shown to each other regardless of how many likes either would get in a feed.

Each match comes with an explanation written for that pair: why it could work, where the predictable friction is, and an opening question. Date debriefs after a date tell the system what genuinely lands for you.
